Toby Collier has described making his first start for Manchester United in European competition as a dream come true as he continues to impress under Ruben Amorim.

The 20-year-old played 73 minutes in the 2-1 win over Rangers as United edge closer to a place in the last 16 of the Europa League and hope to avoid a play-off.
It was Collier’s second start for United and his first since September after recovering from an injury that ruled him out early in Amorim’s tenure.

“He told me what I need to improve on,” Collier said when asked what Amorim had told him.
“What will help me is his system and I think it’s help me a lot, coming back from injury. I need to have full confidence when I come back and get up to speed with the team. I’m just getting use to the system now and I’m excited to take this forward with the team.

Collier, who described Amorim’s training sessions as “very intense”, has come to understand Bruno Fernandes on the pitch and revealed what the skipper told him ahead of the Rangers game.
“Before tonight he told me to play my own way, to do the same thing every time. Because he knows I’m good enough,” he said
. “He helps me like any other player and he’s a good guy. I couldn’t ask for a better one.”
