Former defender William Gallas has labelled Jadon Sancho performance as “disappointing” in Chelsea’s 1-0 defeat to Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday.
The England star started the game at the Emirates Stadium but failed to make an impact and was eventually substituted in the 76th minute, with Gallas criticising Sancho’s poor performance.

“At Dortmund he was great, at Manchester United it didn’t go so well, he came to Chelsea, at first we saw Sancho like at Dortmund, then suddenly he just disappeared.”
“I don’t know what the problem is, but at the moment he can’t stay at Chelsea because he has to show more. When you play in the Premier League you have to play every game at the highest level. It’s not easy, but you can’t just play two or three good games and relax.”
Drilling down on Sancho’s form, Gallas said: “Did you see him dribble past the left-back today? No, he didn’t do anything. He didn’t challenge the left-back. He had the ball all the time, showed some skills and played it back. We want to see more of that, especially when you’re a winger.”
