Liverpool manager Arne Slot wants to play next week but will have to wait because of the international break.

The Reds suffered a series of disappointments after losing 2-1 to Newcastle in the Carabao Cup final, and were previously eliminated from the UEFA Champions League by Paris Saint-Germain.
Asked if the current international เว็บพนันออนไลน์ UFABET สมัครง่าย โปรโมชั่นมากมาย break was the right time, Slot said: “We are one of the biggest clubs in the world, Liverpool. It’s not the first time in the history of the club or in the last two seasons that they’ve lost two games in a row.”
“It’s part of the game of football, especially one of them is against the best team in Europe at the moment and the other is against Newcastle, a very strong team in England.”
“I would love to play in a week, but now the situation is that the players are away on international duty, they have two more games, and maybe another week to play Everton, which we’ve played before and we know how difficult it is.”
Barely a week ago, Liverpool had aspirations of a terrific treble under Slot, who would have undoubtedly cemented his name into Anfield folklore by collecting three winners’ medals in his first season.
However, despite what the Premier League table and most of their top-flight performances would suggest, the Reds are not invincible, as both Newcastle and Paris Saint-Germain have proven over the past few days.
Liverpool could have had few complaints about either knockout elimination too, and with their big-hitters on the field for both defeats. It begs whether this overworked group of players are simply running out of steam.
